Claire Rich Therapy

Claire Rich set up her busy, highly successful Hypnotherapy Practice based in Chelmsford, Essex many years ago because she had a strong desire to share with the world the power of the subconscious mind. She loves empowering people to be the best they can be so they can find their way to a Richer Life!

Specialist Hypnotherapy Experts

All our Therapists are like minded individuals who are passionate about their work. They are highly trained, professionally qualified and experienced experts in their chosen field and adhere to a strict code of ethics and conduct. They are members of at least one professional organisation meaning they all hold professional insurance, commit to ongoing training and development as well as regular supervision to adhere to industry standards.

In addition, our Therapists are all members of ‘The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)’. This means that we receive referrals from GPs, Hospitals, Private Healthcare Providers and Insurance Companies. Currently Hypnotherapy is not available through the NHS but the Royal Society of Medicine is actively lobbying to change this.

Guarantee of Confidentiality

All our clients are guaranteed strict confidentiality, and all client notes and records are kept secure and confidential at all times.

We are compliant under the terms of the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into effect on the 25th May 2018. The GDPR forms part of the data protection regime in the United Kingdom, together with the new Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). The main provisions of this apply, like the GDPR, from the 25th May 2018. For further information, please visit the Information Commissioner’s Office website (ICO).

Insurance

As reputable, registered professionals, we are required to have Professional Liability Insurance. Copies of our Insurance Certificates are on display in our Consulting Rooms so that our clients can rest assured they are in safe hands.

Formal Supervision

Formal supervision is a requirement throughout the industry, as it ensures that high standards of practice are maintained. This means that we have regular contact with our peers and where applicable consult with a supervisor who is also an experienced Senior Clinician. This provides us with a support network giving us access to even more knowledge and experience.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Hypnotherapy is no different to any other therapy within the field of psychology. Research and development is on-going, and as a result new developments and techniques are constantly discovered. We are therefore committed to continually expanding and updating our knowledge within this area, and we regularly attend CPD Days in order to meet yearly training targets set by our governing bodies. This is beneficial to both our practice and our clients, as it means that we are always able to provide the best therapy possible. Terms and Conditions

Hypnotherapy Regulations

Currently there is no official regulatory body for Hypnotherapists to register with (the equivalent of say the 'FCA' and 'PRA' for Banks and ‘Gas Safe Register’ (which has replaced 'Corgi') for Plumbers etc.). However, all professionally trained and qualified, reputable Hypnotherapists are members of at least one professional association.

The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

For some time now, various Hypnotherapy Organisations have been lobbying towards achieving ‘Voluntary Self-Regulation (VSR)’ in order to set a benchmark for national standards of excellence and safety to the public. In December 2010, the Government's Department of Health accepted Hypnotherapy onto ‘The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)’ register which it funds. Hypnotherapy is one of 15 disciplines now recognised by the CNHC. Members of the public can search the CNHC register to find practitioners in their local area.

Testimonials

There is much debate about whether Testimonials are considered ethical in the therapy profession. Claire Rich Therapy belongs to several professional membership organisations with differing views, codes of ethics and conduct. Consequently, for many years we have hid our light under a bushel and decided not to post any Testimonials on this website. However, times have changed with the ever evolving World of Technology and Social Media and so we must too. Client Testimonials are the norm nowadays, as they allow you to find out more about us from the people who have used our services and found the way to a richer life. We believe that therapy is a unique and personal experience to the individual which is why all Testimonials are given voluntarily with a client’s permission and written consent in accordance with our strict code of ethics and conduct. Due to the highly private and confidential nature of our work, some clients request that we keep their identity anonymous to respect their privacy. This is why you won’t see their name displayed alongside their Testimonial but rest assured each and every Testimonial is 100% genuine and sincere.

Please be aware that Testimonials can breach client confidentiality if not acquired professionally and can also be easily fabricated.

Therapy Fees and Packages

Weekly Session Fees start from £150.00. All Inclusive Packages are also available starting from £180.00. (All our Fees include VAT.)

Work with us either in person at our office or online. Location is not important, wherever you are based we can help!
